The Flash
Description
The Flash is the Scarlet Speedster, DC Comics' fastest hero. Multiple characters have held the mantle of The Flash, including Jay Garrick (1940), Barry Allen (1956), Wally West (1986), and Bart Allen. Each Flash possesses superhuman speed granted by the Speed Force, an extra-dimensional energy source. The Flash can run at velocities exceeding the speed of light, phase through solid objects, travel through time, and perceive events lasting mere microseconds.
