The Longbow Killer, Chapter 1
Description
The hunt begins. Someone is executing the city's most corrupt billionaires and leaving a single green arrow buried in each corpse. Dinah Lance, an executive protection specialist known in this reality as Black Canary, is brought in to identify the killer, and her list of suspects reads like a roster of the deadliest archers alive, every one of them connected to the murdered Oliver Queen. Pornsak Pichetshote and Rafael Albuquerque open their Absolute take on Green Arrow as a slasher mystery, where the man who should be a hero has become the thing victims fear in the dark. Chapter one of The Longbow Killer.

The art from Albuquerque is fantastic and perfectly matches the dark, gritty tone. Dinah Lance is the real POV character here, an ex MMA fighter turned bodyguard, and she is a great lens into this wild story. There is a lot of history and moving pieces being set up and Pichetshote handles it all with confidence. This is the kind of first issue that makes you angry the next one is not already in your hands. Hurry up issue 2.
