The Transformers: The Movie Deluxe Edition is a hardcover collection published by Skybound and Image Comics in 2026 for the fortieth anniversary of the 1986 animated film. It pairs both comic adaptations of the movie in one volume for the first time. The three-part version from Marvel Comics, released in 1986, was scripted by Ralph Macchio and Bob Budiansky with art by Don Perlin, Ian Akin, and Brian Garvey.

The four-part retelling that IDW Publishing put out in 2006 was illustrated by Don Figueroa. New cover art by Sean Murphy was created for this anniversary printing. The 176-page book reached comic shops in August 2026 and bookstores that September, giving fans a single place to revisit Hot Rod, Optimus Prime, and the fight over the Matrix of Leadership across two eras of Transformers storytelling.
