Aztek: The Ultimate Man (1996)

Written by Grant Morrison and Mark Millar with art by N. Steven Harris, the series ran for 10 issues from 1996 to 1997. It follows a warrior trained by a secret society to prevent the coming of the shadow god Tezcatlipoca, who adopts a new identity in the fictional city of Vanity while awaiting the fulfillment of his mission.
