Kingdom Come is a 1996 DC Elseworlds miniseries written by Mark Waid and painted by Alex Ross, seen through the eyes of an ordinary pastor, Norman McCay. A decade after retreating from a world overrun by reckless, amoral vigilantes, Superman and the classic Justice League return to restore order, setting up a generational clash over what heroism should look like.
