X-Men 2099 (1993)
X-Men 2099 was part of Marvel's 2099 imprint, set roughly a century after the age of the original X-Men. In a corporate-ruled future where megacorporations such as Alchemax dominate society and mutants are hunted once again, a new team forms under the telepath Xi'an Chi Xan, known as Desert Ghost. Core members include Meanstreak, Skullfire, Cerebra, Krystalin, Metalhead, and Bloodhawk, with figures like La Lunatica and Junkpile drawn into their circle. Written across its run by John Francis Moore, with early art by Ron Lim and later Jan Duursema, the title mixes street-level action with the wider intrigues of the 2099 world. The team operates first in the American Southwest and later from the independent refuge of Halo City. The run took part in line-wide events including The Fall of the Hammer and One Nation Under Doom.
