A DC Comics anthology series that ran from 1968 to 1971, then resumed in 1975 for a second stint. DC Special collected themed issues built around a specific character, villain type, or story concept, drawing primarily from DC's Golden and Silver Age backlog. The format gave readers access to classic stories before collected editions were widely available.
