Ben Grimm steps out on his own after Marvel Two-in-One folds, with She-Hulk holding his spot on the Fantastic Four. John Byrne and later Mike Carlin dig into the Thing's hardscrabble Yancy Street childhood, send him into pro wrestling, and strand him on Battleworld, where he can finally turn human at will.
