This one shot special pairs two stories and doubles as a tribute to Swamp Thing's co-creators. The lead story, The Talk of the Saints, is the final Swamp Thing tale written by Len Wein, left unfinished at his death and completed as a largely wordless piece by artist Kelley Jones.
The second story, Spring Awakening, comes from Tom King and Jason Fabok. In it Swamp Thing guides a lost child across a frozen landscape while a snow creature stalks them, honoring the legacy of Wein and Bernie Wrightson.
Published by DC Comics in 2018, the special is a memorial to the creators who defined the character.
