Ongoing Comic Book Series

A regular series is an ongoing run with no planned ending, published monthly until it is cancelled or relaunched. Action Comics, Amazing Spider-Man, and Detective Comics all publish this way. VerseDB gives each volume its own entry, so a title that has relaunched several times appears as several regular series under one franchise rather than a single continuous run. Browse ongoing runs with their issue lists, creator credits, covers, and release dates.

Regular Series FAQ

Why does one title have several regular series?
Publishers relaunch long-running titles with new #1s. Each relaunch is its own volume, so Amazing Spider-Man (1963) and Amazing Spider-Man (2018) are separate series under the same title.
How do I tell whether a run is still publishing?
Check its status. An ongoing run shows no end year; completed and cancelled runs show the year they stopped.
What is the difference between a regular series and a limited series?
A regular series has no announced end and continues until it is cancelled. A limited series is sold with a fixed issue count from the start.
