Creating a tier list takes a few minutes. Go to versedb.com/tier-lists/create or click Create Tier List from the Tier Lists page.
Setup#
Pick the content type — what you're ranking: Series, Issues, Characters, Teams, or Publishers. You can't mix types in a single list.
Add a clear title and a description explaining your ranking criteria (what makes something S-tier vs F-tier, any biases worth flagging).
- "Best Spider-Man Runs (1990–2020)"
- "Most Underrated Marvel Characters"
- "Top 20 X-Men Issues Ranked"
- "My List"
- "Comics"
- "Best Characters"
Building the List#
Default tiers are S, A, B, C, D, F but you can rename, recolor, reorder, add, or remove them — up to 8 tiers, minimum 2. Each tier holds up to 20 items.
Search for content in the search bar, drag items into the tier you want, and reorder within a tier by dragging up or down. Move items between tiers anytime.
Set privacy to Public (visible to everyone, can be voted on, earns XP) or Private (draft, only you). You can change privacy later.
Click Create Tier List to publish.
XP Rewards from Upvotes#
Public tier lists earn XP as the community votes:
| Upvotes | XP bonus |
|---|---|
| 10 | +50 XP |
| 50 | +100 XP |
| 100 | +250 XP |
| 500 | +500 XP |
All four milestones stack, for up to 900 XP per tier list.
Manage your published tier lists at My Tier Lists. Open any list and click Edit to change content or tiers, or Delete Tier List to remove it (not reversible).
