League of Comic Geeks (LOCG) is one of the most popular comic tracking platforms. Here's how to move your data to VerseDB.## Step 1: Export from League of Comic Geeks
- Log in to your League of Comic Geeks account
- Go to My Collection (or Wish List / Read List)
- Look for an Export or Download option
- Download as CSV format

LOCG's export options may change. Check their help documentation if you can't find the export feature.
Step 2: Start Your Import#
- Go to Import & Export in the sidebar, then select Import
- Select your import type:
- Collection — Comics you own
- Read Status — Comics you've read
- Wishlist — Comics you want
- Select League of Comic Geeks as the source
- Upload your CSV file
Step 3: Map Your Headers#
VerseDB will detect headers from your LOCG export. Common mappings:

Tip
If LOCG includes their internal IDs, you can map them for reference, but VerseDB primarily matches on series name, issue number, and publisher.
Step 4: Review Matches#
VerseDB attempts to match each row to an issue in the database:
- Matched — Found an exact match
- Multiple Matches — Found several possible matches (you'll choose one)
- Unmatched — Couldn't find a match (you can search manually or skip)
Step 5: Complete the Import#
- Review your matched items
- Resolve any conflicts or unmatched items
- Click Import to add items to your collection
Warning
Large imports may take a few minutes to process. Don't close the browser tab until it completes.
What Gets Imported#
For Collection imports:
- Issue identification
- Purchase date and price (if in your export)
- Condition and grading info (if available)
For Read Status imports:
- Issue identification
- Date read (if available)
- Your rating (if available)
Troubleshooting#
Many unmatched items? LOCG may use different series names or numbering. Try adding publisher and year data to improve matching.
Missing issues? Some issues may not exist in VerseDB yet. You can submit content edits to add missing comics.
