Managing Your VerseDB Subscription

Learn how to access your subscription dashboard, understand your subscription status, and manage your VerseDB PRO account.

Accessing Your Subscription Dashboard#

Method 1: Navigation Menu

  1. Log in to your VerseDB account
  2. Click on your profile avatar in the top-right corner
  3. Select "Dashboard" from the dropdown menu
  4. Click "Subscription" in the left sidebar

Method 2: Direct URL Visit https://versedb.com/subscription while logged in.


Understanding Your Subscription Status#

Status Meaning What You Can Do
Active Billing normally Switch plans, update payment, cancel
Canceled Access until period ends Resume subscription before expiration
Expired PRO features disabled Subscribe again to restore access
Incomplete Payment Payment failed Update payment method

Viewing Subscription Details#

Your subscription dashboard shows:

Current Plan Information

  • Plan type: Monthly ($6/month) or Yearly ($60/year)
  • Subscription start date
  • Next billing date and amount

Payment Information

  • Last 4 digits of payment card
  • Card brand (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)
  • Card expiration date

Subscription History

  • Past invoices and receipts
  • Payment history
  • Plan change history

Viewing Billing History and Invoices#

  1. Navigate to your Subscription page
  2. Scroll to "Billing History" section
  3. View list of all past charges

Each invoice shows:

  • Invoice date and number
  • Amount charged
  • Payment status (Paid, Failed, Refunded)
  • Download receipt link (PDF)

Email Notifications#

Email Type When Sent Contains
Subscription Confirmation First subscribe Plan type, billing date, features unlocked
Payment Receipt Each payment Amount, date, invoice number
Renewal Reminder 3-7 days before Upcoming charge amount and date
Payment Failed Payment fails Reason, instructions, deadline
Cancellation Confirmation When canceled Cancellation date, access end date

Note

Subscription-related emails (receipts, failed payment alerts, confirmations) cannot be disabled for security and billing transparency.


Data and Privacy#

What VerseDB Stores

  • Subscription status and plan type
  • Billing dates and amounts
  • Payment method (last 4 digits only, via Stripe)
  • Invoice history

What VerseDB Does NOT Store

  • Full credit card numbers
  • CVC/CVV security codes
  • Banking passwords or credentials

Preserved Forever:

  • User profile and settings
  • All collections and reading history
  • Reviews and ratings
  • Pull lists and wishlists
  • All user-generated content

Removed:

  • Active PRO subscription status
  • Payment method on file (at your request)
