Description
The concluding chapter of "The Return of Kaine" finds Spider-Man tracking Kaine and Muse after a clash with Great Game operatives, determined to bring Kaine in. A precognitive vision stops Kaine cold: Muse, dead, with his own Mark burned into her face. When Kaine tears into the headquarters of Great Game organizer James Johnsmeyer, Spider-Man intervenes, and the confrontation reveals that Muse was planted as Johnsmeyer's agent to manipulate Kaine all along, though she has genuinely developed feelings for him in the process. Written by Howard Mackie.
