The Carnage symbiote has abandoned its original host and bonded with Ben Reilly, drawn by a genetic signature that mirrors Peter Parker's own. As Spider-Carnage, Ben fights a losing battle against the symbiote's violent compulsions, which exploit his deep uncertainty about whether he is truly the original or just a copy. Peter Parker is the one person who knows Carnage's patterns, but tracking Ben down means finding himself dangling over a rooftop in the symbiote's grip while Ben struggles to break free of its influence before he kills the man who might actually be him.
