This one-shot reprints G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #26, the 1984 story where Larry Hama first began the origin of Snake-Eyes. It launches the Hama Files Editions, a reprint program from Skybound and Image Comics that returns key issues of the series to print.
The chapter is framed by Stalker, who recounts a Vietnam reconnaissance mission that first joined Snake-Eyes with Tommy Arashikage, later known as Storm Shadow. The account opens up the Arashikage ninja clan and the history behind two central figures of the G.I. Joe mythos.
This edition pairs the vintage story with new commentary written by Hama.
