The Wild Storm (Trade Paperback, 2017)

Warren Ellis and artist Jon Davis-Hunt reimagined the Wildstorm Universe in this 2017 DC series. The 24-issue run rebuilt classic Wildstorm properties from the ground up in a shared continuity separate from the main DC Universe.

The story centers on the conflict between IO, a ground-based covert agency, and Skywatch, an orbital organization with its own agenda. Angela Spica, an engineer who builds a suit of powered armor to save a life, becomes caught between these factions. Grifter and other familiar Wildstorm characters appear as the conspiracy unfolds.

The series blends espionage, corporate intrigue, and science fiction elements.
