Swamp Thing (1972)
The original Swamp Thing ongoing series from DC Comics, running 24 issues from 1972 to 1976. Created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson, expanding on their House of Secrets #92 origin story.
The series follows scientist Alec Holland, transformed into the monstrous Swamp Thing after a laboratory explosion in the Louisiana bayou. Wrightson's detailed, atmospheric artwork defined the character's early horror roots before his departure after issue #10.
