Batman and Son (Trade Paperback, 2008)
Batman and Son is the opening arc of Grant Morrison's Batman run, drawn by Andy Kubert. Bruce Wayne discovers that Talia al Ghul, daughter of Ra's al Ghul, has raised a child she says is his son. The boy, Damian, has been trained from birth as a deadly operative of the League of Assassins.
This 2008 collection gathers Batman #655-658 and #663-666, the issues that bring Damian Wayne into the Bat-family. It sets up the rivalry between Damian and the other Robins over who will carry on as Gotham's protector. The arc is the foundation of the father-and-son story that DC Studios is adapting for the film The Brave and the Bold.
