- Not necessarily. Many hardcovers collect the same issues and simply ship first in a more durable edition. Deluxe hardcovers usually do collect more.
- What is the difference between a hardcover and an omnibus?
- An omnibus is a hardcover, just a far larger one — typically several hundred pages spanning multiple arcs or years of a title.
- Why is the hardcover a separate series?
- Because it is a separate publication with its own release date, page count, and cover. Tracking it apart lets you record the edition you actually own.
