Preacher

Preacher is a dark supernatural western series created by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, launching in 1995 under DC's Vertigo imprint. The series follows Jesse Custer, a Texas preacher possessed by Genesis (the offspring of an angel and demon), as he travels across America with his girlfriend Tulip and vampire friend Cassidy, searching for God who has abandoned Heaven. Blending western, horror, dark comedy, and religious satire, Preacher explores faith, morality, and the American experience.
