About This Event
Otakuthon is Quebec's largest anime convention and the second-largest in Canada, held at the Palais des congres de Montreal. Founded in 2006 by Concordia University's Otaku Anime club as an outgrowth of its long-running Animethon marathon, the fan-run, non-profit convention moved to the Palais des congres in 2008 and now draws more than 35,000 attendees. The 2026 edition runs August 7-9 with anime and manga programming, cosplay competitions, concerts, and guest voice actors and performers, presented bilingually in English and French.
