Snowy is the white wire fox terrier companion of the young reporter Tintin, created by Belgian cartoonist Hergé and first appearing in Tintin in the Land of the Soviets in 1929. Known as Milou in the original French-language editions, Snowy accompanies Tintin through every adventure in the series, providing comic relief and occasional plot assistance. The Tintin albums have been published in more than 70 languages and are among the most widely distributed European comics in the world.
