Scamp
Description
Scamp is a Disney comics character, the son of Lady and Tramp from the 1955 animated film Lady and the Tramp. He first appeared in comics in Dell Comics' Four Color #703 (1956) and received his own newspaper strip from King Features Syndicate beginning October 31, 1955.
Scamp is a mischievous, energetic puppy who takes after his father's scrappy, independent personality rather than his mother's refined temperament. His adventures typically involve getting into trouble around the neighborhood, chasing cats, and testing the patience of his parents.
The Scamp newspaper strip ran for over 30 years, from 1955 to 1988, making it one of Disney's longest-running comic strip properties. He also appeared in comic book series from Dell and Gold Key Comics. Scamp later starred in the 2001 direct-to-video sequel Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure.
