Description

Usagi Yojimbo, whose full name is Miyamoto Usagi, is a rabbit ronin and the title character of an independent comics series created by cartoonist Stan Sakai. Set in a stylized feudal Japan populated by anthropomorphic animals, the character is loosely inspired by the historical samurai Miyamoto Musashi. The series launched in 1984 as part of the anthology Albedo Anthropomorphics before Usagi Yojimbo received its own dedicated publication with Fantagraphics and later Dark Horse Comics.
