She first met Peter Parker as a neighbor while pursuing a modeling career, and he helped her secure a position as secretary to J. Jonah Jameson at the Daily Bugle, replacing Betty Brant. Grant went on to become the longest-serving secretary in recent Bugle history, appearing across decades of Spider-Man stories.
