Bruttu is the giant, monstrous form of scientist Howard Lindley. An atomic machine transformed him, manifesting a physical likeness to a comic book character Lindley had recently read.
Unable to communicate effectively in his new state, Bruttu was often seen as a threat. He later used the same machine to return to his human self, ultimately finding peace.
