Siryn
Description
Theresa Maeve Rourke Cassidy, known as Siryn, is a Marvel Comics mutant superhero created by Chris Claremont and Steve Leialoha. She first appeared in Spider-Woman #37 (1981).
Siryn is the daughter of Sean Cassidy (Banshee) and Maeve Rourke. After her mother's death, she was raised by her uncle, the villainous Black Tom Cassidy, who kept her existence secret from her father. She inherited the same sonic scream mutation as Banshee, able to generate powerful sound waves that can shatter objects, disorient opponents, and enable her to fly.
After learning the truth about her father, Siryn eventually separated from Black Tom's criminal influence. She became a prominent member of X-Force under the leadership of Cable, where her tactical skills and powers made her a valued team member. Her complicated relationship with Jamie Madrox (Multiple Man) and her struggles with alcoholism have been recurring elements of her character. She later inherited the powers of the Morrigan, an Irish goddess, and briefly operated under the name Banshee in honor of her father.
