Modesty Blaise

Modesty Blaise is the central character of the long-running British newspaper comic strip created by Peter O'Donnell and artist Jim Holdaway in 1963. A woman of unknown origins with a criminal past, she operates as a skilled intelligence operative and adventurer, often working alongside her loyal partner Willie Garvin. Exceptionally capable in combat, espionage, and strategy, she is one of the most celebrated female protagonists in comics history. The strip ran until 2001, and O'Donnell also wrote a parallel series of novels featuring the character.
