Rick O'Shay

Rick O'Shay is the town marshal of Conniption, a fictional frontier settlement, in the comic strip of the same name created by Stan Lynde and syndicated by the Chicago Tribune beginning in 1958. The strip blended traditional Western adventure with gentle comedy, centering on O'Shay's attempts to maintain order in a town populated by comic types and occasional villains. Lynde drew and wrote the strip until 1977, and it ran under other hands until 1981.
