Description

Buz Sawyer is a naval aviator and adventurer at the center of Roy Crane's newspaper comic strip, which launched on November 1, 1943, syndicated by King Features. Created as an action-adventure strip set during World War II before evolving into a peacetime spy and adventure format, it was one of the most visually dynamic newspaper strips of its era and ran until 1989. Various publishers produced collected Buz Sawyer comics during the strip's active run.
