Privacy Settings Overview#
VerseDB tier lists offer two privacy levels: Public and Private. You can change privacy settings anytime.
Public Tier Lists#
When a tier list is public:
- Anyone can view without logging in
- Appears in search results and browse pages
- Can be voted on and commented on
- May be featured if popular
- Earns XP from vote milestones
- Visible on your profile
Benefits:
- Get community feedback and discussion
- Earn XP from vote milestones (up to 900 XP!)
- Help others discover great comics
- Build your reputation as a contributor
- Potential to be featured on trending page
Private Tier Lists#
- Only you can see it
- Hidden from all search and browse pages
- No voting or comments allowed
- Won't appear on trending
- Not visible on your public profile
Benefits:
- Work in progress without pressure
- Personal rankings for your own reference
- Experimental or incomplete lists
- Switch to public when ready
Changing Privacy Settings#
During Creation:
- Look for "Privacy" section
- Toggle between Public/Private
- Publish with your chosen setting
After Publishing:
- Go to your tier list page
- Click "Edit" button
- Change privacy toggle
- Click "Save Changes"
You can switch between public and private as many times as you want.
Sharing Your Tier Lists#
Direct Link#
Every tier list has a unique URL:

Copy and paste anywhere - Discord, Reddit, Twitter, etc.
Share Buttons#
Use built-in share buttons on your tier list page:
- Twitter/X
- Discord
- Copy Link
Getting Featured#
Featured tier lists get a special badge and highlighted position on the homepage. To increase your chances:
- Create high-quality, interesting tier lists
- Get significant community votes
- Spark good discussions in comments
- Offer unique or creative rankings
Account Limits#

Tips for Sharing#
- Add context in your social media posts
- Tag relevant communities (#Marvel, #DCComics)
- Ask for opinions to encourage engagement
- Respond to comments
- Spam multiple communities
- Beg for votes
- Argue with every critic
