RoboCop 2 (1990)
Marvel Comics adapted the 1990 science fiction film RoboCop 2 across this three issue limited series. Alan Grant scripted the adaptation, with pencils by Mark Bagley. It centers on Alex Murphy, the cyborg police officer known as RoboCop, as he patrols a decaying near future Detroit.
The city sits under the control of Omni Consumer Products, a corporation that treats law enforcement as a business. A dangerous new street drug and a ruthless crime lord threaten what order remains, and OCP pushes ahead with a larger and more powerful cyborg program.
This run retells the feature film for comics readers and stands alongside Marvel's other movie tie in work from the era.
