Thunderbolts (1997)

Thunderbolts launched in 1997 as an apparent superhero team stepping up to fill the void left by the Avengers following the Onslaught event. Created by Kurt Busiek and Mark Bagley, the series examined what happens when new heroes must prove their worth to a distrustful public. The title ran for 75 issues under Busiek and then Fabian Nicieza.
