Spawn

Spawn is a dark superhero created by Todd McFarlane, debuting in 1992 as one of Image Comics' founding titles. Al Simmons, a murdered CIA operative, makes a deal with the devil Malebolgia to return to Earth as a Hellspawn. With supernatural powers, a living symbiotic costume, and chains that serve as weapons, Spawn battles both the forces of Heaven and Hell while struggling to retain his humanity and reconnect with his past life.
