The Newsboy Legion!
Jack Kirby's run on the title begins. Jimmy Olsen answers to a demanding new boss at the Daily Planet, media magnate Morgan Edge, who assigns him to cover the reborn Newsboy Legion and their Whiz Wagon. The trail leads Jimmy into the dangerous Wild Area and its rebel band the Outsiders, while Superman survives an assassination attempt aimed at Clark Kent. The issue is the first appearance of Morgan Edge and the first published chapter of Kirby's Fourth World saga. Written and drawn by Jack Kirby.
