The Legend of the Shield (1991)
Published under DC's Impact Comics imprint, the series relaunched the Shield, a patriotic superhero from the Archie/MLJ catalog, in a more militaristic modern context. Written by Mark Wheatley with art by Rick Burchett, it was part of DC's effort to update the classic heroes for a 1990s audience.
