Vicar
Biography
Vicar, born Víctor José Arriagada Ríos, was a Chilean cartoonist recognized as one of the most prolific Disney comics artists of all time. After an early career in political caricature and Chilean publications, he began drawing Disney comics for Egmont in 1971 and produced over 1,200 stories featuring Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, and related characters. Working from his Vic-Art studio in Santiago, he and his assistants maintained an output of up to 200 pages per year. He passed away on January 3, 2012.
