Kate Leth
Biography
Kate Leth is a Canadian comic book creator born in 1988 in Ottawa. They studied photography at NSCAD University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and worked at the Strange Adventures comic shop, where they developed a passion for comics. In 2010, they created the webcomic Kate or Die, which became a bi-weekly column on Comics Alliance.
Leth's Adventure Time fan art on Tumblr caught the attention of Boom! Studios, leading to covers, short stories, and the graphic novel Adventure Time: Seeing Red, which reached The New York Times Best Seller list in 2014. For Marvel, they wrote Patsy Walker, A.K.A. Hellcat! for 17 issues with artist Brittney Williams, blending romance and superhero comics with a comedic tone. They also contributed to the Boom! Studios series Bravest Warriors and co-created Spell on Wheels for Dark Horse with artist Megan Levens.
