Mimi Pond
Biography
Mimi Pond is an American cartoonist, humorist, and writer whose 1982 book The Valley Girls Guide to Life became a Dell bestseller. She is best known for the graphic memoirs Over Easy (2014) and The Customer Is Always Wrong (2017), both published by Drawn & Quarterly and drawn from her time as a young waitress at an Oakland diner. Over Easy was a New York Times bestseller and won a PEN Award. Pond also wrote the 1989 Simpsons series premiere 'Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire,' along with scripts for Designing Women and Pee-wee's Playhouse.
