Biography

American cartoonist from Dallas, Texas, who became a key figure in the underground comix movement of the 1960s. He is the creator of The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers, Fat Freddy's Cat, and Wonder Wart-Hog, and co-founded Rip Off Press in 1969. The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers has sold more than 45 million copies worldwide and been published in 20 countries. Shelton was inducted into the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 2012.
