Japanese manga artist born in Fukuoka Prefecture. He is best known as the creator of Hayate the Combat Butler, a comedy series serialized in Weekly Shōnen Sunday from 2004 to 2017 across 52 volumes. The series sold over 20 million copies worldwide and spawned multiple anime adaptations. His follow-up series Fly Me to the Moon began serialization in 2018.
