Mark McKenna
Biography
Mark McKenna is a comic book inker whose career spans nearly four decades across Marvel and DC Comics. He entered the industry in 1985 through Marvel's Art Corrections program, training under art director John Romita as part of the group known as "Romita's Raiders."
After 18 months at Marvel, McKenna moved to DC Comics, where editor Karen Berger offered him a continuity contract to ink Dr. Fate. He spent four years under contract at DC, working on L.E.G.I.O.N. '89, Doom Patrol, and The Griffin. He returned to Marvel in 1991, inking titles including Dr. Strange, and became prolific enough to work on two or three monthly books at a time.
His credits extend to Dark Horse's Star Wars: The Old Republic and Legendary Pictures' Pacific Rim prequel. As a creator, McKenna wrote, illustrated, and published the sci-fi/horror series Combat Jacks through his Banana Tale Press imprint. He also created the children's book series Banana Tail and Friends, which has grown to five published titles.
