Russ Manning

Biography

Russell Manning was an American comic book artist who created Magnus, Robot Fighter for Gold Key Comics in 1963, a science fiction series set in the year 4000. He illustrated the Gold Key Tarzan series from 1965 to 1969, adapting ten of the original Edgar Rice Burroughs novels. Manning also drew the Tarzan and Star Wars newspaper strips. He was inducted into the Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 2006.
