Biography
Ian Gibson was a British comics artist who spent much of his career contributing to 2000 AD. He was among the founding artists on Judge Dredd when the anthology launched in 1977 and became the defining artist on Robo-Hunter. His collaboration with writer Alan Moore on The Ballad of Halo Jones ran from 1984 to 1986 and stands as one of his most celebrated works. He also drew American titles including Mr. Miracle and Star Wars comics for Dark Horse. Gibson died in December 2023.
