Ian Kennedy
Biography
Ian Kennedy was a Scottish comic artist whose career spanned more than seven decades, beginning at DC Thomson in 1949. He specialized in meticulously detailed aviation and war imagery, producing work for titles including Hotspur, 2000 AD, and the relaunched Eagle. At 2000 AD he drew M.A.C.H. 1 and Judge Dredd, while at DC Thomson's Commando pocket books he painted well over 1,200 covers across a career that continued into the 2020s.
