Description

In the Second World War, the Republic of Ireland declared neutrality, leaving Irish men who wanted to fight the Nazis no choice but to enlist in the British army. A small unit of these Irish volunteers advances with Allied forces into Germany, where progress is slow and the enemy refuses to yield. Old grievances from Ireland's war of independence and the civil war that followed remain a fault line running through the unit.
