Vampire Squadron, Part 1: A Barrel of Guinness

In the winter of 1940, a group of mismatched pilots assembles at a remote RAF base in rural England. Among them are Britons, Poles, Czechs, Frenchmen, Australians, and Canadians, many of them refugees from Nazi-occupied nations and others drawn from across the British Empire. No established squadron wanted them, and the men have little affection for each other as they prepare to fly night missions during the height of the Blitz.
