Clarabelle Cow

Clarabelle Cow is a Disney comics character who first appeared in the 1928 animated short Plane Crazy, making her one of the oldest characters in the Disney stable alongside Mickey Mouse. She was developed into a recurring character through the early Mickey Mouse cartoons and comic strips.

Clarabelle is an anthropomorphic cow and a close friend of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and the Mouseton community. She is often portrayed as good-hearted but gossipy, with a tendency to spread rumors and meddle in the affairs of others. Her on-again, off-again romantic interest is Horace Horsecollar.

In comics, Clarabelle has appeared in thousands of stories published internationally. She is a fixture of the Mickey Mouse supporting cast, particularly in European Disney comics where the Mouseton ensemble receives extensive treatment in both humor and adventure stories.
