A family in Oregon contacts Dr. Vincent Morrow after their son begins exhibiting what appears to be demonic possession. Morrow approaches the case as he would any difficult diagnosis, running tests and applying clinical reasoning where others would resort to exorcism. His assistant Eric Gast and the unusual Penny Dreadful join the investigation as the examination reveals the boy's condition involves something well outside the standard classifications.
